COMPETITIVE GAME MODES AND FEATURES
Battlefield 4 is built from the
ground up to provide a great experience to both competitive gamers and
spectators. Three game modes in particular are especially suited for
smaller teams to play on: the fast-paced Squad Obliteration, the frantic
Domination and the highly tactical Defuse mode, where even the
slightest error has dire consequences.
Our new Spectator Mode is also key to making Battlefield 4 a force to
be reckoned with in the world of competitive gaming. Spectator Mode
will bring great viewing, streaming, and video-making opportunites. Read
on to learn more about these new features.
SQUAD OBLITERATION
This is the lead competitive game mode for Battlefield 4. It's
fast-paced, relies on teamwork and is entertaining to watch. Two teams
consisting of five players each battle for bomb control. Carry the bomb
into an opponent base, plant it and defend it until detonation to score.
Destroy two out of three bases to win. A match takes between 10-20
minutes.
DOMINATION
With its tight and infantry-based combat, the Domination mode is
extra suitable for competitive gaming. The rules are similar to those of
Conquest, and the goal is to capture control points on the map. There
are no vehicles and the skill and reflexes of the individual players
become even more crucial.
DEFUSE
Defuse lets you join a team of Attackers trying to plant a bomb, or a
group of Defenders trying to prevent their opponents' explosive
ambitions. Skill is essential; if you die, you have to wait until the
next round to respawn. This gives the gameplay a thrilling edge and
makes Defuse ideal for high-level players.
SPECTATOR MODE
The inclusion of a powerful and versatile Spectator Mode enables a
world-wide audience to enjoy, analyze and broadcast competitive
Battlefield 4 matches - regardless of map and game mode. Whether you're a
professional shoutcaster, creative movie maker or just a curious BF4
fan, Spectator Mode brings an engaging tool.
